The Mayor of Cha-Am, Mr. Nukul Pornsomboonsiri has chaired the opening ceremony for a training project about health care systems for Cha-Am in 2015. The opening ceremony was attended by the Municipal management and staff as well as training participants. A report was presented by the Deputy Mayor Mr. Suphasek Phunlap. The main objective of the training was to promote understanding and knowledge about public health services and enhancing the capacity of staff who work in this area, particularly public health volunteers.
The project also aimed to create unity amongst the volunteers. They are the key persons who provide basic health care. In the municipal area of Cha-Am there are 395 health care volunteers, each of whom takes care of 15 to 30 households. The training project this year focused on encouraging all participants to share and express ideas on cooperative public health care. Most of the trainers were from the Cha-Am Hospital.
